Hardy Brown College Prep Fourth Grade Teacher

I can believe that it has finally happened... I am teaching! I know that it is nothing but God, and I am truly amazed and am in awe of how God worked everything out!

Here is where my story began...

I was working for an independent studies program as a summer school teacher, and I was unhappy. It wasn't teaching... but it was a job. Somehow... all of my students dropped or failed and I was left with 7, out of my original 45 students. My coworkers would take over my case load, and I was just see the 7 students when they can in, really dumb right? On the day this happened I told two of my coworkers, I believe this happened because I won't be here longer (super spiritual right LOL). They laughed at me... But I really felt it. They knew my credential was not posted, I needed to take one more test, and I had only been on two interviews. Didn't look like I had any potential. That day which was a Friday, I got a call from Hardy Brown, scheduling me for an interview. This is how my God works! That Monday I went to the interview and had to wait... I hate waiting. But I kept seeing this lady who looked so familiar walk by. Comes to find out she is interviewing me! We walk into the room and I ask... Did you ever live in Sacramento? Puzzled she looks at me and says, "Yes, I still do!" I ask, "Did you every do a seminar on Hurley and Howe, right by an Italian Restaurant about 6 years ago?" Now I have her really confused LOL... She says,"Yes, for our credential program!" I say, "I was there you wore a white dress with silver stilettos." She was shocked and lost for words. She began to go outside the office to tell people. The crazy thing is I have a horrid memory! Throughout my interview she kept saying this can't be a coincidence, there is something about you, you have this presence... I have to give you this job! Well as a formality I had to come back the next day for a demo lesson, which did not go as well as I thought it would. Little did I know they were just putting their game faces on! They kept having me wait outside and called me back in, finally they asked what would I do if people came to be with gossip. I said, "I know I am not supposed to say this but I am a Christian, and I do not say this lightly. I try to carry myself in a way to define that word in my actions. My pastor preaches against gossip and I hold that to every aspect of my life." She counters with, "I have fired Christians." Then she sends me outside. I sit there like great you didn't get the job! They call me back in and offer me the job!

And this is where teacher boot camp begins...

Bravo and I...6am Ontario Airport!
This is Bravo and I waiting in the Airport to be flown to Sacramento for a two day one night training...Excuse our tired faces we had been up since 4am. Bravo is my other fourth grade teacher! Crazy thing is the first day I met her, she came to church with me, and wept in the altar (keep her in your prayers)! We have become sisters! Its crazy how stress and fear will bind two people together! After those two days of training we came back with only two days to set up our classrooms for the first day of school. I had to do everything alone because everyone I know has a job, but it was well worth it!

Feel the BURN...

Hey all, its me Courtney...I know its been awhile so I feel the need to reintroduce myself, maybe send out a reminder, and a found flyer! Life is busy as usual with church, starting a new job, and going to school. I wouldn't have it any other way though. So why the post all the sudden? I feel inspired ladies!

Everyone knows that as Apostolic's we love love love to eat. Lets be real before church... we eat, after church... we eat, celebrating... we eat, mourning... we eat, single... we eat, married... we eat, preggers... we eat, you get the idea! Don't get me wrong I have always loved eating. But before church I was quite the athlete I was a dancer, soccer player, want to be track star, and I played rugby for a season. I wouldn't say I enjoyed working out but I did feel satisfied after a good run (though during I was whining). But now I find it harder to find time to work out (with all they eating we do!). I do not believe in New Years resolutions, some of my close friends and family will remember the one I made last year and broke only a day after I made it. So this is not a New Years resolution, its more like a rebellion.

Do not be alarmed people I am not doing anything illegal! Just going against the grain, revolting against the status quo, REBELLING! I remember the first year I was in church, after every single service I went out to eat. It seemed that all I did. It continued through out the four years, even if we ate at home rather than going out. Now I am watching a friend of mine go through the same thing. The funny thing is, before I even met her people were saying that she reminded them of me. I love my little twin! Well, people have been telling her that now she's in church she can gain weight, put some meat on her bones, and get fat. I am a very real person and I can admit that before I was in church I probably was a little to skinny. Though I weigh the same I did in High School (minus muscle LOL).

This is right before I got into truth. I was 19 here (and had recently made a dumb decision to dye my hair auburn). I was about a size 4 here, now I am a comfortable 6 (not church 6 but a real 6 -inside joke for Kendra and Misha). Now I am realistic do I want to be this small again eh not really. But I do want to be healthy. I have never been one to focus on the number on the scale so I am not into losing poundage! But inches may be nice or some toning! I want to make a disclaimer I do not think I am fat! Never have! Back to my friend...So Kendra and I have been trying to tell her we don't need to let ourselves go just because we are in church! The funny thing was, I had let myself go. I even noticed myself becoming lazy and down... So Im REBELLING!

Okay this is me eating LOL, but really I am rebelling! On Monday I took a big step...I went on the elliptical at work. It hurt I thought I was going to die. And I realized that was not for me. So I went on YouTube and subscribed to Befit. I know Jillian Michaels does not have the same morals that I do, but she is amazing at working out and I like her video. So I started 30 day shred on Wednesday. I loved it! Well I suffered but I made it! On Thursday I felt stronger and was able to focus on form. That day I felt a change in my attitude and how I carried myself (maybe because I could barely walk). That night I went to a youth conference in Fontana. My legs hurt so bad that when I had to sit and stand I want to scream. But it was worth it. I took my measurements to see my progress but for modesty purposes I wont be sharing... But I will be sharing how many inches I lost. Today I feel great. I just finished my workout and I am ready to see what today holds.

This is me pre-workout videos I think you can see the weight in my face, since my dress is flowie, but I guess only I will see the real improvements. (Hey notice the natural hair color lol)

What excites me is I am doing this for me. Not because my friends are, not because I want to look like someone else, not for some guy (there is none lol), and not for approval. I am doing this because my body is a temple. I am doing this because I want to feel good. I am REBELLING because just because your happy or saved doesn't mean you need to be unhealthy.

Happy Holy Ghost Birthday to ME!!

Some people believe that miracles were a thing of the past, but I know that they still happen on a daily basis. It was November 23, 2008 I was 19 at the time. It was the first time I had ever walked into an Apostolic church, and it felt completely different from anything that I had ever felt in my life. I didn't know that that service would completely change my life forever. I had been living a life of heartache and pain wondering around without purpose. I had tried everything, said the sinners prayer on a daily basis, and nothing helped me to change. My brother, his girlfriend (now wife), and my best friend and I were all sitting in a pew together. I remember looking around watching people worship and raise their hands. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen in my life. I turned to my brother and said "When can I get baptized?" He looked at me and smiled, "Courtney its worship service now just wait." Everyone had their eyes closed and they were worshipping! I knew if I didn't get baptized in that moment, it may never happen. So, I left the pew and walked down to the altar over to a preacher and said, "Excuse me, if you do not baptize me now, I will leave here the same way I came."  He jumped down from the platform walked me to the back where the baptismal was. I was so excited and nervous all at the same time, but I knew that I needed this. Finally, Kendra and Misha noticed I was not longer with them. Kendra turned to Brendan and said, "Wheres Courtney?" In that moment they opened the curtain to the baptismal, everyone turned and looked. My family and friends saw that I was being baptized in the wonderful name of Jesus. Finally, my sins were remitted and I was washed clean by the blood of the lamb. While worshipping at the altar I was filled with the wonderful gift of the Holy Ghost. I had never felt cleaner nor had I ever felt lighter. After altar call we were walking out of the church and someone turned to me and said, "Courtney your pimples are gone, and your hair is laying perfectly." Now for some of you reading this, that is no big deal but for those of you who knew me then you know that I battled with painful cystic acne and well I have curly hair so enough said there. God showed me that night that nothing is impossible for Him.

As I sit here and write this post my heart is full! Knowing that 4 years ago God changed my life. I will never go back to the life that I had lived. Through all of my heart ache and trials nothing will ever convince me to not live for God. I can't believe its already been 4 years, but yet it feels so much longer.

The New Chapter...

Finally, I have moved to Southern California to start my new chapter in life. It was bitter-sweet leaving my home for 5 years, Sacramento. I met so many amazing people who truly impacted my life and supported and loved me in my times of need. My last Tuesday night service was truly emotional, shockingly I balled my eyes out (okay maybe thats not shocking). After that I packed with some belongings that I still had in Sacramento and headed to Tracy, to pack up what I had stored at my parent's. After loading up my I had another emotional fair-well with my Daddy and then once again with my Mommy. It was so hard leaving my parents because I knew at that moment our relationship would change. I was moving from dependency to independence.
My little brother and I left Tracy that friday at 6am. It was such an easy drive but nerve racking wondering what Upland/Ontario held for me. Its silly to think how nervous and emotional I was because I moved with my big brother and sissy. But it was me growing up and that in its self was scary. So, now I am here living my new life. Starting Grad School in 6 days, interviewing for jobs, and getting established in the church. BTW, I love my church!
I know I have been inconsistent in my blogging but I promise to try harder!!

Tis' The Season...To Crush LOL

Okay, now that it is Christmas time it seems that LOVE is in the air. There is just something about this season that makes it so easy to fall in Crush LOL. Maybe its the white twinkle lights that get mistaken for fireworks, maybe its that we are on a sugar rush from all the sweets we eat, or maybe its the fact that Christmas makes us all misty eyed, IDK but all I know its so easy to fall in Crush. So, I have a warning for all of you falling in Crush, 1) don't be blinded by the good attributes to the point where you are unable to see whats wrong with them. 2) Do not become a stalker (nobody likes a stalker). 3) Make sure he is available. 4) Look at how he is with children. 5) Does he treat his Mama right. 6) Is he age appropriate? 7) Is he slightly interested in you. 8) Does he have a JOB. 9) Does he Love GOD? 10) Is he real LOL. These have no order but try to look for them.... Awww to be in Crush LOL

I AM NOT ASHAMED!

This has been the topic at church. The other day Bro. Tony Spell came and preached our covering service. He preached on our Apostolic Faith. Meaning following the apostle's doctrine without shame. What a message for us. We baptise in Jesus name, we believe in being filled with the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues, we believe in Holiness, our women do not cut their hair and our men do, and we praise the one and only Lord JESUS CHRIST.. That's right people I believe in the word of God without shame. I am fired up!!
Now I am a College student and go to a secular university. Where my professors are trying to get me to believe in what they say. They are trying to change my thinking. Well I have news my mind cannot be change, I have read and experienced this truth! So the day after Bro. Spell preached I went to my children's literature class where my class was discussing what can and cannot be said inside the classroom. There were so many topics brought up but I am going to bring up this shocking one. She asked us what are we going to do when parents come upset that there is a child's parent is upset another child in class has same sex parents. I know you all are shocked right now, so you can imagine my face LOL. Students immediately raised their hands and gave their opinions. Some said they would explain how they were only talking about alternate life styles and others said they were only being fair to the child of the same sex parents. Okay, imagine me...Courtney Thaler...Sitting there....Listening to this Garbage...Shocked...and ready to speak. I rose my hand with triumph and dignity. "There is no room in any classroom for a teacher to discuss a parent's sex-life." WHAM BAM BOOM take that devil!! "Well, Courtney good point but what happens when the child brings it up?" Must you ask? LOL! "Well, of course I would make the child feel valued and loved but I would not partake in any conversation of that sort. I would immediately change the subject and if this conversation persisted I would talk to the parent. As with any child whether their parents are same sex or not we have no room to hear about their sex life." Another teacher told us that we may have to teach about gay families...They asked what will you do? Duh, I won't...Why is there a place in curriculum for sex lives? Our kids can barely read or write a paper and you want me to teach what? My God. Bro. Clark was preaching about how sin is being shoved in our faces and how we as christians are unable to profess what they believe. I have had teachers warn me that when I am working in a school that I cannot answer a child when they ask me if I believe in God. Are you Kidding me? Yet I can teach a lesson on same sex parents? The devil is such a liar. If he can set forth his agenda... I will not be ashamed of what I believe!

We Can Do It!

Okay, So my this is inspired by the last paper I wrote. It was entitled "Mixed Messages for Rosie". Many really do not know who Rosie is. So, for the young ladies who don't let me introduce her to you. Rosie is a fictional character developed during WWII. She inspired women in America to join the work force. Before that women were only allowed to take jobs, that women were capable to do. Rosie brought women into shipyards, factories, and they even welded. Well, when the men returned from war these ladies were forced back into the home. Sad but true.

This post is not a feminist perspective, so sorry! This is from a young Apostolic woman who believes women should be submissive to their husband as the husband loves her like Christ loved the church, who believes a mother is the most rewarding job a woman could ever obtain, who believes women should wear skirts, who believes women should not wear make up, who believes in modesty, and who believes a woman should never cut her hair. But I am posting this in the avenue to stir young apostolic women.

Now that we have the disclaimer here is what is on my mind. I was putting my life on hold until I said "I Do". I kept saying "Oh my ministry will start with my husband.." Ummm....WOW... Who am I to say that God can't use me? I finally realized my call to join Hope Corp and I am so excited. I know that God has something in store for me. I have been given a gift to teach, it is so evident it is not even funny. So, I am looking at what avenues that God wants to use me in with that. I want all you young women to see that "We Can Do It", yes it is a blessing to be married (and believe me I want to be), but until that time LET GOD USE YOU...

On My Mind

So, I have been thinking. (Watch out this is a dangerous task). A lot have things have changed in the last few months. All of which for the best. My life continually evolving and moving on! I feel like this is the Evolution of Courtney Mary Thaler. My focus has moved from just getting by too full and complete success. I will no longer settle for less than the best. In every aspect of my life I want the closets to perfection I am able to obtain. People tell me being a perfectionist and expecting is wrong, I have realized I completely disagree....I serve a King who requires my best, who thinks I deserve the best, and who is completely perfect!!! So, with my walk with the Lord, with school, with church, with family, with Love, and with my friends I want the BEST!!
Lately, people have been saying in a negative manner that my boldness is obvious...or overpowering...You know what I love my boldness...I love the truth...I feel like people get offended because they aren't used to the truth. I know at times my feelings are raw, but lets be real life is raw. This world that we live in is raw. I am who I am just striving for perfection. I may make mistakes or even say the wrong thing, but I am trying.
No longer will I just settle, I have seen what settling would have left me with... And that is not what I deserve! I believe the Lord just woke me up, just like my Happy Hour Mocha Frap just did!! If I know the truth why would I settle for anything less than the truth, this refers to a recent conversation with a backslider...WHY? They did not have answer other than, I still believe...That makes no sense...Just as this post LOL.

A Lady: From A Father and Husbands Perspective...By Bro Ballestero

If you are a Lady, it is no accident. A lot of caring people got involved in the training process.

  • A Lady is not born a Lady; she’s made into one.
  • Someone had to help her.
  • Her parents, her family, or someone close, participated in her education.
  • If she is a Lady, it’s not an accident.
  • A Lady conducts herself as a Lady.
  • She expects to be treated like a Lady and she won’t settle for less.
  • There are some things a Lady always does and some things a Lady would never do.

For Example:

1. A Lady Is Never Loud

  • She uses her ‘inside’ voice when speaking.
  • A Lady does everything to keep from being known as a loud mouth.
  • She doesn’t scream and yell unless it’s absolutely necessary.
  • She doesn’t rant and rave to get her way.
  • She always strives to keep her composure and show calmness.

2. A Lady Watches Her Language

  • She doesn’t use swear words.
  • She lives so that if someone did swear around her, they would apologize.
  • She doesn’t tell off color jokes.
  • She avoids being around those that do.

3. A Lady Is Private About Her Personal Life

  • She does not cheapen her life or others by passing along private information.
  • She would never ask anyone else about their private life.

4. She Would Include The Pastor (And God) In Her Courtship

  • She would ask the Pastor’s opinion of the guy she’s interested in.
  • She would ask him if he would approve of you two ‘seeing each other.’
  • She would invite him to pray with you about him.
  • A relationship with a wrong person may destroy her.
  • Someone worth marrying is most often found worshipping or around an altar, not hanging around the foyer.
  • She would break up with him if her Pastor advised her to and be thankful that he was watching for her soul.
  • She would be very worried if her friends didn’t like him.
  • She would be very worried if her parents didn’t like him.
  • She would honor her parent’s wishes and requests.

5. A Lady Always Tries To Be On Time

  • There will always be occasions when things run late. She tries to make that the exception.
  • A Lady has much more personal preparation than a man. That’s a given. She doesn’t abuse the privilege.

6. A Lady Pays Attention To Her Personal Hygiene

  • She takes a shower or bath faithfully.
  • She finds a deodorant that works for her.
  • She brushes her teeth and uses mouthwash if necessary.
  • She Keeps a supply of Q-tips .
  • She knows Cologne can be smelled from afar and that it can be overwhelming. She is uses it with moderation.
  • She knows that it’s not a substitute for soap.
  • She shampoos her hair and keeps her scalp free of sweat and dandruff.
  • She knows that just the word ‘Lady’ conjures up a picture of cleanliness and beauty in a man’s mind.

7. She Is Careful About Her Nose

  • She excuses herself to blow her nose.
  • She leaves the table to do it if possible.
  • She turns her back to the table guests if she can’t leave to take care of her business and then places handkerchief in her purse or out of sight.
  • She is aware that a wet nose is only tolerated on dogs.
  • She keeps her finger out of her nose in public.

8. A Lady Pays Attention To Her Clothes

  • She keeps her shoes polished.
  • She cleans and trims her fingernails.
  • She dresses with class.
  • She does not wear revealing and formfitting clothes.
  • She does not show cleavage.
  • She does not dress so as to leave nothing to the imagination.
  • She wears dresses that cover her knees even when sitting.
  • She knows that she will not attract a Godly Husband by dressing like the world.
  • She knows that if she doesn’t dress like the ‘world’ she won’t attract as many undesirables.

9. A Lady Is Gracious

  • She says thank you when doors are opened for her.
  • She says thank you when he pulls the chair out for you at the table.
  • She says thank you when a Gentleman assists her with her coat. (On or off.)
  • She says thank you when a Gentleman gives up his chair for her.
  • She says thank you when a Gentleman picks up something she dropped.

10. A Lady Has Dining Manners

  • She always chews with her mouth closed.
  • She doesn’t talk with her mouth full.
  • She takes modest sized bites
  • She avoids ordering food with garlic if she is going to spend time with ‘him’.
  • She never uses her finger to shove food onto her fork. She may use a knife or bread.
  • She doesn’t place her elbows on the table.
  • She places her napkin in her lap and not in her collar.
  • She does not eat as if she were condemned.
  • She knows a Gentleman is grossed out immediately by a Lady’s bad table manners.
  • She does not burp, pass gas or spit in public.

11. A Lady Is Careful With Her Dating Conversation:

  • She never mentions former boyfriends.
  • She asks him questions about himself. (Maybe he’ll catch on and ask her.)
  • She doesn’t yap on and on about herself.
  • She will open up and talk if she cares about him.
  • She doesn’t get too serious too quick.

12. A Lady Makes The Wedding Plans: (When you arrive at that decision.)

  • She knows a Wedding is the ultimate social event in a woman’s life.
  • She knows a Lady should have all the free reign she needs in it’s planning.
  • She knows that He should follow her lead and if He does, He won’t be sorry.

13. A Lady Doesn’t Want To Sound Like A Control Freak To Him.

  • She doesn’t try to change the music he’s listening to, even if it’s not what she likes.
  • She knows there will be time to play hers.
  • She doesn’t try to ‘change’ him as soon as he becomes hers either.

14. A Lady Keeps Her Ego In Check

  • She never acts like the world revolves around her.
  • She never pouts or throws a fit to get her way.
  • She keeps her emotions in check in public.
  • She will not participate in a ‘Cat Fight’.

15. A Lady Does Not Pursue The Man

  • A Lady does not openly pursue the man
  • She waits for him to make the initial call.
  • She waits for the man to come to her.
  • She does not cheapen herself to get his attention.
  • She will not throw herself at a man.

16. A Lady Allows The Man To Pay

  • She expects Gentleman pays for all the expenses.
  • She also understands that just because he bought her a hamburger, it doesn’t mean she OWES him anything!

17. A Lady Has Phone Manners

  • She takes time to speak to his parents or siblings when they answer the phone if she has to call.
  • She will never just blurt just out, “Is _____ There?”
  • She knows taking time to talk to the Mother or Father will go a long way in helping her future with the family.
  • She will not spend her time texting other people when she is with Him.
  • She will focus on who she is with.
  • She shows those she is with how important they are to her by not texting or calling other people at the table.
  • She wouldn’t think of texting in church.
  • She would never be part of sending or receiving inappropriate photos and texts.
  • She knows that if a guy is willing to send her an inappropriate photo or text, she has just been warned as to his lack of morals, consecration and his intentions.

18. The Lady Knows When And Where To Draw The Line

  • She draws the line.
  • She demands respect of her purity and honor.
  • She would never make improper advances or say suggestive things.
  • She would never allow herself to be touched in an inappropriate manner or place.
  • She would never think of having to ‘Prove Her Love”
  • She would respect his parents, her parents and their pastor’s guidelines for courtship.
  • She means ‘NO’, when she says ‘NO”.
  • She understands that after she says goodnight, if she has to repent before she goes to bed, then something is wrong with her relationship.

20. A Lady Doesn’t Stay Out All Night?

  • She always honors her parent’s and the pastor’s curfew.

  • She will protect herself and protect him, by not spending a lot of time alone together.
  • She will inform her parents about where she plans to go and what she plans to do.
  • She will make sure her parents have her cell number and invite them to call her if the need arises.
  • She knows the Bible already said that flesh is weak. It is weak. She will not knowingly put herself or him in a position to be tempted. There is no guy worth going to hell over.

21. A Lady Will Never Let The Romance Die After Marriage.

  • She will keep the courtship alive until her last breath.
  • A Lady will always be loved.

Room For The Blood...

Funny title I know but there is much meaning behind it. This is a very personal post to me. I am being transparent with all of my readers, so please enjoy...

I went on a mini holy ghost vacation to Ontario. It was much needed because my brain was on overload, ask my sister I started crying for no reason. Well a week before I left I had been feeling to take a step and wear longer skirts. Now mind you my skirts were always two inches below my knee. But I felt lead to do more. Well after a service one night I felt like I could not push it off any longer. So I decided to go on a "Long SKirt Fast" LOL I did it. Too be honest it was hard cause I wear FUN SOCKS in the winter and no one could see them LOL. But I was obedient to the Holy Ghost. Upon my arrival in Ontario we went to church as usual. But Bro. Clark preached a confirmation message to me on Wednesday Night. He spoke on Adam and Eve in the Garden. When the Lord made them clothing. Uh it was so amazing. He opened my eyes. You know how all the pictures of them show them in lil tiny clothes lol, HELLO do you really think God would make His people look all half naked? God doesn't do anything half way. Then he began to say how the animal skins required the blood of the animal to be shed, and how the blood covered them. I wish I had his message to post to you because I am doing it no justice. There was a part where he asked if what we were wearing left room for the blood. Hey if your clothes are tight enough where air cannot flow threw how do you expect the blood to flow through? I never ever want to wear something that is not pleasing to God where His blood cannot cover us. No flesh can glory in His presence, there is too much flesh being shown by a lot of us. I have a new Revelation of modesty!!! It is so important ladies and gentlemen. We are representations of the MOST HIGH, Covered by the Blood of the Lamb. That blood is for our protection, really it is just like the passover. Its crazy I was listening to Whits End and there was something that stuck out to me it said, "Once you step out of the house the blood cannot cover you," Once we step out of Holiness the blood cannot cover us. Think about it, if your skirt is too short or tight are you stepping out of Holiness? Can the blood cover you? I need that blood to cover me....I NEED HOLINESS.

Here I Am...

Here I Am...

Knowing that I am Right Where I belong,
Always doing what I am supposed to.
Wondering When I'll go and What I'll do.
Wanting More and waiting for Everything,
I'm stuck Reaching and Grasping the edge.
I thought I obtained it but then I Lost it,
It seems as though I am the only one left,
The Only one undecided.

I always Had everything Figured out,
Now I don't have a clue.
I am waiting For You to make up your Mind,
Ask me I will tell you what to do.
I am left on Hold Living by faith.

For the first Time Its all Up to HIM,
The ONE who holds my life in HIS hands,
Its Hard to see it working out for my good,
Its hard to have faith when I can't see,
I wish HE would give me a Hint,
Just one Little taste so I Would feel,
I wish that You were Here,
I miss You so much.

But as I Pray...
Lord, Here I Am,
Lord, Send Me,
Lord, Have My Life,
Lord, Take All Of Me,
Lord, I Am Yours,
Lord, Use Me,
Lord, I Put My Trust In YOU,
Lord, Mold Me

Lord, I AM HERE!

My Last Day of Being 21...

How truly blessed am I to have made it 22 Glorious Years?
I know that this year is going to the best.
So much has already changed, as I keep telling Jenn this is the year of CHANGE!!
Today, felt like any other day...SCHOOL.
But a few minutes ago I realized that it is my last day of being 21!!
How crazy is that? I am getting Old...As my brother says.
This year I am going to enjoy my birthday no matter what. Nothing is going to
get me down. Every other year I cry!!! LOL
I plan to cry tears of utter joy.
God has been so good to me.
I do not know what I am doing for sure yet... But all I know there is an awesome bible study.
I plan on having the girls reflect on what we have learned.
Maybe give some testamonies on what has changed or what they have learned.
I plan on posting the bible studies soon for all of you.
As I look back God has been good through it all.
I have cried many tears, laughed for hours, and talked longer lol.
I have loved hard and been angry short.
I have felt the love of God!!
There has been pain and heart ache but it was worth it all.
I choose to look at my Life in the most positive light...GOD IS GOOD.
I am the happiest I have EVER been :)
Febuary 3rd Here I come!!

The Rock Youth Group

Wow, What a powerful move of the Holy Ghost tonight.
Bro. Chris and Bro. Mike spoke and really,
Opened our eyes to what God has for us.
They helped me see that God has his hands stretched wide
Open for us to run into but yes
Some of us are choosing to be lost.
I believe that this year God has something great for our Youth.
The thing is that we must find a way to tap into it.
Coming from the world I see what it does to people,
I have seen many friends turn out way different from how we planned.
The world took them for a loop they never saw.
I pray that our young people see that there is,
nothing there for them.
That we belong to a great church where God has so much.
We have leadership that has given such example,
there is so much love we just have to choose.
Tonight I made a choice, I am staying with the Lord.
Come what may, if you ever think huh wheres Court,
Just remember, IM HERE TO STAY.
This may be so simplistic to some.
But you must look deeper, It takes deep revelation.
Like what Bro. Mike said, Its a relationship you have to work at.
I feel so blessed to serve a God who loves me.
